Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) is a type of high-pressure laminate (HPL) that is used for a variety of applications, particularly in the construction of lockers and furniture. It is made by layering multiple sheets of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin and bonding them together under high heat and pressure. The top layer of SGL typically features a decorative pattern or colour, which gives it an attractive appearance. SGL is known for its durability, strength, and resistance to moisture, chemicals, and impact. It is commonly used as a surfacing material for countertops, furniture, wall panels, cubicle partitions, and other interior and exterior surfaces that require high-performance characteristics. SGL is also used in applications where hygiene and cleanability are important, such as in healthcare facilities, laboratories, and commercial kitchens. One of the main advantages of SGL is its versatility. It comes in a wide range of colours, patterns, and textures, allowing for creative design options. It can also be machined and fabricated into various shapes and sizes, making it suitable for custom applications. SGL is often chosen for its long-lasting performance, low maintenance requirements, and resistance to wear and tear. In summary, Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) is a durable, high-performance laminate material that is commonly used in locker manufacture and interior design applications due to its strength, durability, moisture resistance, and versatility.

SGL also gives you a high end frameless lock which completely covers the metal carcass.
